Lawrence De Hart – Owner (Master Plumber & Master HVAC)
From Junction City, Lawrence has found his home in Manhattan since 2006. Lawrence established De Hart Plumbing Heating & Cooling in 2012. He loves relaxing at home with his family watching sports, movies, having full-blown wrestling matches in the living room with his son, or playing board games (unstoppable at connect four). When it comes to employees and customer service Lawrence has a knack for creativity, perfection and raising the bar. “It should go without saying, if the person who works at your company is 100 percent proud of the brand and you give them the tools to do a good job and they are treated well, they’re going to be happy,” Richard Branson tells Inc. president and editor-in-chief Eric Schurenberg in an interview.
Kathy De Hart – Management Team
From Whidbey Island Washington. Kathy moved to Kansas in 1988 when her husband and family were stationed on Fort Riley. Kathy has raised 4 amazing sons, has a degree in Early Childhood Development and a real passion for early childhood education and animals. On her free time Kathy loves to cook and bake, enjoy her cats, root for the Seattle Seahawks and hosts the world’s best sleepovers for her grandkids. Kathy has been in the customer service industry for over twenty years and has become a valuable addition to De Hart Plumbing Heating & Cooling.
Lia Wright – Office Receptionist
Florida born and raised, I came to Kansas by the wonderful world of the Army. I am currently a student at Kansas State University (#EMAW) where I am working on my Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management. I have two awesome children, Landon and Alivia, who are major motivators for me in life as a whole.
Sean Butler – Service Team (Master HVAC)
Sean has lived in the Manhattan area for 5 years, however, he is from Whidbey Island Washington and moved here for a job opportunity with De Hart Plumbing Heating & Cooling. Sean loves playing Call of Duty, Clash of Clans and becoming one with his couch on his days off. Sean has an unbelievable talent for customer service and has created quite the following of loyal customers who adore him because of his humor, mastering of small talk and attention to detail.
Chris Ricci – Service Lead (Master Plumber & Master HVAC)
From Junction City Kansas. Chris worked on Fort Riley, plumbing all the new housing as well as historical renovations for main post before starting a career with De Hart Plumbing Heating & Cooling. Chris is a licensed Master Plumber, which is the highest-level certification a plumber can have. Chris loves to workout, listen to music and spend time with his son.
Patrick Turnbow – Service Team (Master HVAC)
My name is Patrick, I’m from a little bit of everywhere. My family and I moved to the Manhattan area so that I could work for De Hart Plumbing Heating & Cooling. I received my AAS from Vatterott College after studying HVAC/R. I’ve spent several years working in the HVAC service industry in AL and in IL. I really enjoy what I do, troubleshooting heating and air conditioning systems. The more difficult the problem, the more I like. In my time-off, I really enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys. We like to go for walks and play with our dog. I am also the scout den leader of my oldest son. I look forward to serving your needs in the future.
Kurtis Scheller – Service Team
Kurtis moved to Kansas from Maryland in 2008 when he was stationed at Ft. Riley. Before getting into plumbing, heating, and cooling he worked as a repair technician at radio shack and was an infantryman in the Army. In his down time, he makes props and costumes from movies and video games and does volunteer work with animals. Kurtis is a solid mixture of crazy cat lady and complete geek and we love him for it.
Ryan Best – Service Technician (Master HVAC)
From Junction City and now a resident of Manhattan for the last few years. It was the 10 years in residential maintenance that lead me to become an HVAC/R certified and begin my career with De Hart Plumbing Heating & Cooling. I have quite a collection of VHS, DVD and digital movies and also shot glasses, mugs and koozies from anywhere and all over. I enjoy spending my off time with my wife and two daughters, playing around with my youngest and assisting with youth sports for my oldest is what motivates me the most!
Westley Stewart – Service Technician
I love working with my hands & working on cars. I’ve been tearing apart motors and cars ever scene i was a little kid. Lawrence (the owner) and me were childhood best friends and i couldn’t be more proud to be on his team. I love this company and solving customer problems. Outside of work i’m always with my kids & youth sports or working on someones car.
Scott – Service Technician
Scott is a native Californian that chose to make Kansas his family’s home in 2012. Before diving head first into plumbing and HVAC, he served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician stationed at Fort Riley. He is a self-avowed nerd with “and app for everything” and loves spending time with his family after spending time working with his friends at De Hart. Between planning Disney trips, school functions, family vacations, movie nights, and trips to the park, Scott keeps himself busy for all the right reasons. Watch out for dad jokes.
Anthony Whitaker – Service Technician (Master HVAC)
I’m from Junction City and a 2004 graduate of St. Xavier High School. I received my HVAC/R certification in 2011 and spent 10 years doing service maintenance work for military housing on Fort Riley. In my free time he enjoy hunting, fishing, golfing and coaching my kids’ youth sports teams. I comes from a strong customers service and technical background. I’m very excited to be a part of the De Hart plumbing heating and cooling family.
